Job summary

Temple Health is seeking a Carpenter Assistant/Locksmith at Fox Chase Cancer Center to assist in carpentry and locksmith duties. You will help with installation, maintenance, and repair of locks and door hardware, and ensure work aligns with safety standards and project specifications.

Ideal candidates have 3 years of hospital maintenance experience, a high school diploma, and a driver’s license. This role supports a network known for its patient care and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• 3 years experience in hospital maintenance or an equivalent building maintenance role.
• General experience with door systems, hardware and keying systems.
• Knowledge of fire codes, DOH Life Safety (LS), and Joint Commission (TJC) standards, or ability to acquire this knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Carpenter in constructing and executing carpentry projects using power and hand tools.
• Perform locksmith duties including installation, maintenance, and repair of locks and door hardware.
• Complete work in accordance with specifications and safety standards; provide time estimates and maintain records.
