Job summary

Mortenson Construction is seeking a Carpenter Apprentice I, II, III, IV to assist Journeyman and Foreman Carpenters on active construction sites while learning the trade.

Responsibilities include setting up trailers and temporary structures, installing shelves and site controls, hand-setting forms, taking grades, handling materials, and performing concrete and rough carpentry under supervision.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED is required.
• Must be enrolled in an apprenticeship program.
• Construction-site experience preferred.
• Able to read plans and work with carpentry tools.

Responsibilities

• Set up trailers and build temporary structures.
• Install shelves, tool trailers, silt fences, and erosion controls.
• Hand-set forms and assemble gang forms.
• Assist journeymen with grades and elevations.
• Unload, stockpile, and erect prefabricated materials.
• Perform concrete and rough carpentry tasks.
• Collaborate with diverse team members.
• Fulfill other duties as assigned.
