Job summary

Adolfson & Peterson Construction is seeking a Carpenter Apprentice in Colorado to assist Carpenters with building enclosures, blocking, formwork, and door frames. You will use hand and power tools, read blueprints, and help with concrete work where needed.

Safety is core to AP’s culture and you’ll work within an Incident and Injury Free framework. Candidates should be enrolled in an apprenticeship or have related training and be able to lift up to 100 lbs and travel to sites up to 70 miles away.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Currently enrolled in an apprenticeship program or equivalent training.
• Ability to properly lift, carry, push, and move materials weighing up to 100 pounds.
• Ability to travel to project sites up to 70+ miles away.
• Able to work in varying climate conditions.
• Proficient in using carpenter’s hand and power tools and read basic blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Take personal responsibility for working safely within an Incident and Injury Free culture.
• Work directly with a qualified Carpenter to construct, erect, install, and repair building frameworks.
• Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic and other materials.
• Assist with window/door frame fitting and trim installation.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and equipment.
• Assist with basic concrete formwork where required.
• Ensure workmanship is of the highest quality.
• Other duties as assigned.
