Paragon Construction Company in Midlothian, VA is seeking dependable Carpenter or Carpenter Apprentice to join our on-site team. This full-time role offers hands-on training, safety-focused practices, and the opportunity to grow into a skilled carpenter under the guidance of experienced crew.

You will contribute to building outdoor living spaces, measure and cut materials, use hand and power tools, and help maintain organized, safe job sites.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of construction or carpentry experience preferred.
• Ability to read a tape measure accurately and transfer measurements to material.
• Willingness to learn and grow into a carpenter role.
• Basic understanding of job site safety and proper tool use.

Responsibilities

• Assist in building custom decks, porches, and outdoor living spaces.
• Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
• Measure, cut, and install materials accurately.
• Support carpenters and team leads on active job sites.
• Help maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas.

What We're Looking For

• Basic understanding and ability to demonstrate experience in the use of construction tools and job site safety
• Ability to read a tape measure accurately, transfer the measurements to material and cut the material correctly
• Willingness to learn and grow into a carpenter role
• Strong work ethic and positive attitudeReliable transportation and valid driver's license
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
