Job summary

Craters & Freighters Baltimore is seeking a Carpenter's Assistant to support crate-building, packing, and occasional delivery duties. You will work in our shop crafting crates for industrial equipment, with daily pickups when required.

A strong eye for detail, basic math, and English proficiency are essential, plus a valid DOT medical certificate and ability to lift 35–50 lbs. This physical role involves lifting 35–50 lbs and working with team members to assemble crates, pallets, and packing

Qualifications

• Experience operating a 26' non-CDL box truck.
• Must have valid DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate.
• Pass pre-employment drug test and background check.
• Self-motivated and positive attitude.
• Solid basic math skills.
• Ability to read a tape measure accurately.
• Attention to detail.
• General woodworking skills; training provided.
• Competent in spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

• Daily pickups & deliveries (may only be 1-2 hours daily).
• Package and crate fragile and/or high-value items.
• Work individually and as a team member to assemble and build crates.
• Maintain a professional image.
• When not driving, you will be in our warehouse building crates, pallets and packing items.
• This is a physical job requiring you to lift lumber (35-50 lbs) throughout the day.

We build custom wooden crates for industrial machinery, computer & medical equipment, art work and so much more. With your driving experience you will pickup and deliver items when required. Most of your day will be in our shop building crates, pallets and packing items. This is a physical job requiring you to lift. Basic woodworking skills are required.

HOURS

7:30a-4:30p, Mon-Thu, 7:30-2pm Fri

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Daily pickups & deliveries (may only be 1-2 hours a day, sometimes more-sometimes less).
• Package and crate fragile and/or heavy, high-value items
• Work individually and as a team member to assemble and build crates.
• Maintain a professional image
• When not driving, you will be in our warehouse building crates, pallets and packing items.
