CARPENTRY / HANDYMAN POSITION

We are looking for a dependable, hands-on individual with carpentry, woodworking, and general maintenance skills to join our warehouse team.

This is a full-time, year-round position with a guaranteed 40-hour workweek. The role changes with the season, making it a good fit for someone who enjoys variety and is comfortable handling both woodworking projects and general handyman work.

During Peak Moving Season:
The primary focus will be building, repairing, and reinforcing wooden crates used for international household goods and freight shipments.

Responsibilities may include:

• Measuring and cutting lumber accurately to specific dimensions
• Repairing and reinforcing existing crates
• Constructing crate frames, panels, skids, and supports
• Assisting with custom crating for oversized, fragile, or unusually shaped items
• Using saws, drills, nail guns, and other woodworking tools safely
• Inspecting crates and completing necessary repairs before use

Accuracy is extremely important. Crates must be built to the proper dimensions and strong enough to protect customers’ belongings during international transportation.

During Slower Months:
The position will transition into more of a warehouse handyman and facility maintenance role.

Projects may include:

• Minor carpentry and woodworking
• Repairing doors, shelving, workbenches, and storage areas
• Painting and touch-up work
• Minor drywall and wall repairs
• Basic hardware replacement and installation
• General warehouse repairs and maintenance
• Building or modifying workstations and storage solutions
• Completing preventative maintenance projects around the facility
• Assisting with other improvement projects as needed

What We’re Looking For:

• Previous carpentry, woodworking, construction, maintenance, or handyman experience
• Ability to accurately read a tape measure
• Ability to make precise and consistent cutsComfortable using common hand and power tools

• Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment
• Shipping crate or moving and storage experience is a plus
