Job summary

Performance Door and Hardware Group is seeking a Carpenter 1 to read architectural floor plans and install doors and hardware across projects in Manhattan, KS. The role requires physical stamina, ability to lift up to 80 lbs, and good communication with customers and the team.

You will work on multiple projects, coordinate with management and coworkers, and perform other duties as needed to ensure on-time completion and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Read architectural floor plans and apply plans on site.
• Install doors and mechanical hardware (exit devices, closers, mortise locks, mullions, etc.).
• Transfer between multiple projects as needed.
• Maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers and customers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

JOB ROLE SUMMARY

DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Ability to read architectural floor plans
• Cursory knowledge of the construction industry and processes
• Must be proficient in installation of all doors and mechanical hardware. (Exit devices, closers, mortise locks, mullions, etc.)
• Flexibility to transfer between multiple projects on an as needed basis
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, co-workers and customers
• Other duties and job responsibilities as needed
