Job summary

PDHGroup is seeking a skilled Carpenter 1 in Plant City, FL to read architectural plans and install doors and hardware across projects. You will collaborate with managers and customers to ensure quality workmanship and on-time delivery on diverse jobsites.

The role requires physical stamina, the ability to lift up to 80 lbs, and adaptability to weather conditions while maintaining safety and professionalism. We offer a benefits package and a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret architectural floor plans for installations.
• Install doors and mechanical hardware (exit devices, closers, mortise locks, mullions, etc.).
• Transfer between multiple projects as needed.
• Maintain professional relations with management, coworkers and customers.
• Perform other duties as required.

JOB ROLE SUMMARY:

DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Ability to read architectural floor plans
• Cursory knowledge of the construction industry and processes
• Must be proficient in installation of all doors and mechanical hardware. (Exit devices, closers, mortise locks, mullions, etc.)
• Flexibility to transfer between multiple projects on an as needed basis
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, co-workers and customers
• Other duties and job responsibilities as needed
• Minimum Tool Requirements:
  • Work Boots w/ Safety Toe
  • Cordless Drill Set w/ Tips (Impact and Driver Drill)
  • Hand Tools As Required
