Job summary

Enterprise Precast Concrete is seeking a carpenter to support the Carpenter Foreman in fabricating and setting forms for precast concrete products at the plant. The role includes related carpentry tasks and workmanship guidance from management.

Responsibilities include forming panels per tickets, coordinating production, and maintaining safety and tools. Requires 2+ years general carpentry and ability to read drawings and specs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 2 years of general carpentry experience.
• Minimum 2 years with finish carpentry products.
• Ability to read and interpret technical procedures and drawings.
• Ability to read construction drawings and piece tickets.

Responsibilities

• Construct forms for precast panels following tickets and specs.
• Meet with Carpenter Foreman to discuss production flow and improvements.
• Provide inventory status for form-related materials to ensure timely orders.
• Maintain tools and follow safety guards.
• Manage carpentry workload for self and be a team player.

Job description

Enterprise Precast Concrete is the nation's premier provider of high quality architectural precast components for decades. We provide products from architectural panels and custom architectural fabrication to site furnishings and design/build consultation. The carpenter position works with the Carpenter Foreman in performing all activities related to fabrication and setup of forms for all precast concrete products fabricated in the plant, as well as performing miscellaneous carpentry work as directed by management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Utilizes approved piece tickets to construct forms for specific precast concrete panels in conformance with the architectural specifications and applicable PCI requirements.
• Meets regularly with the Carpenter Foreman to discuss anticipated production sequences and potential form construction problems, and to provide input on improvement of work processes and work flow.
• Provides information to the Carpenter Foreman on the inventory status of all form-related material so that supplies and materials can be ordered in a timely fashion to ensure performance of scheduled work.
• Properly maintains tools and utilizes appropriate safety guards.
• Manages carpentry workload for self.
• Comes to work regularly and on time, in accordance with company policy.
• Functions as a team player.
• Maintains plant safety in accordance with Company Safety Manual and under the direction of Plant Safety Coordinator.

Requirements

• Education and Experience (Wage will be based on experience)

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years of recent general carpentry experience.
• Minimum of 2 years working with finish carpentry products such as cabinetry a other forms of woodworking.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures/specifications.
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings and piece tickets
