Job summary

Enterprise Precast Concrete is seeking a skilled Carpenter to work with the Carpenter Foreman in fabricating and setting forms for precast panels and related woodworking. The role partners with production to ensure forms meet specifications and PCI requirements.

Responsibilities include reading piece tickets and drawings, maintaining tools, coordinating inventory, and upholding safety and teamwork. This full-time, year-round position offers benefits after 60 days, profit sharing, 401(k) with

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent general carpentry experience.
• Minimum of 2 years working with finish carpentry products such as cabinetry and other woodworking.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures/specifications.
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings and piece tickets.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes approved piece tickets to construct forms for precast concrete panels per specifications and PCI requirements.
• Meets with Carpenter Foreman to discuss production sequences and improve workflows.
• Provides inventory status on form-related materials to ensure timely supplies.
• Maintains tools and uses safety guards.
• Manages self carpentry workload and productivity.
• Arrives on time and works as part of the team.
• Upholds plant safety per Safety Manual under Plant Safety Coordinator.

Job description

Enterprise Precast Concrete is the nation's premier provider of high quality architectural precast components for decades. We provide products from architectural panels and custom architectural fabrication to site furnishings and design/build consultation. The carpenter position works with the Carpenter Foreman in performing all activities related to fabrication and setup of forms for all precast concrete products fabricated in the plant, as well as performing miscellaneous carpentry work as directed by management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Utilizes approved piece tickets to construct forms for specific precast concrete panels in conformance with the architectural specifications and applicable PCI requirements.
• Meets regularly with the Carpenter Foreman to discuss anticipated production sequences and potential form construction problems, and to provide input on improvement of work processes and work flow.
• Provides information to the Carpenter Foreman on the inventory status of all form-related material so that supplies and materials can be ordered in a timely fashion to ensure performance of scheduled work.
• Properly maintains tools and utilizes appropriate safety guards.
• Manages carpentry workload for self.
• Comes to work regularly and on time, in accordance with company policy.
• Functions as a team player.
• Maintains plant safety in accordance with Company Safety Manual and under the direction of Plant Safety Coordinator.

• Education and Experience (Wage will be based on experience)
