Job summary

Enterprise Precast Concrete is seeking a skilled carpenter to work with the Carpenter Foreman on forming precast panels and related carpentry tasks in the plant. The role involves fabricating and setting up forms for precast concrete products and performing related woodworking duties as directed.

The position requires reading blueprints and tickets, collaborating with the foreman on production sequencing, maintaining tools, and upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years of general carpentry experience
• Minimum of 2 years working with finish carpentry products such as cabinetry and other forms of woodworking
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures/specifications
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings and piece tickets

Responsibilities

• Utilizes approved piece tickets to construct forms for specific precast concrete panels in conformance with the architectural specifications and PCI requirements
• Meets regularly with the Carpenter Foreman to discuss anticipated production sequences and potential form construction problems and to provide input on workflow improvements
• Provides inventory status information to the Carpenter Foreman to ensure timely ordering of supplies
• Maintains tools properly and uses safety guards
• Manages carpentry workload for self
• Arrives to work regularly and on time
• Functions as a team player
• Maintains plant safety in accordance with the Safety Manual and Plant Safety Coordinator guidance

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

2 years general carpentry experience

2 years finish carpentry experience

Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures/specifications

Ability to read and understand construction drawings and piece tickets

Job description

Enterprise Precast Concrete is the nation’s premier provider of high quality architectural precast components for decades. We provide products from architectural panels and custom architectural fabrication to site furnishings and design/build consultation. The carpenter position works with the Carpenter Foreman in performing all activities related to fabrication and setup of forms for all precast concrete products fabricated in the plant, as well as performing miscellaneous carpentry work as directed by management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Utilizes approved piece tickets to construct forms for specific precast concrete panels in conformance with the architectural specifications and applicable PCI requirements.
• Meets regularly with the Carpenter Foreman to discuss anticipated production sequences and potential form construction problems, and to provide input on improvement of work processes and work flow.
• Provides information to the Carpenter Foreman on the inventory status of all form-related material so that supplies and materials can be ordered in a timely fashion to ensure performance of scheduled work.
• Properly maintains tools and utilizes appropriate safety guards.
• Manages carpentry workload for self.
• Comes to work regularly and on time, in accordance with company policy.
• Functions as a team player.
• Maintains plant safety in accordance with Company Safety Manual and under the direction of Plant Safety Coordinator.

Education and Experience (Wage will be based on experience)

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years of recent general carpentry experience.
