Job summary

HES Facilities is seeking a skilled Carpenter in Fort Valley, GA to join our team. You will perform construction and repair of building frameworks and structures such as stairways, doors, partitions, and rafters, with a strong emphasis on safety and quality.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of carpentry experience, completion of a carpentry apprenticeship, the ability to read blueprints, and hands-on familiarity with carpentry materials and electrical tools.

Qualifications

• 3 years of carpentry experience.
• Knowledge of carpentry materials and techniques.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Excellent manual dexterity and physical fitness.
• Apprenticeship completed in carpentry.

Responsibilities

• Study blueprints and sketches.
• Measure and cut materials.

• Carve and assemble furniture, kitchen cabinets, siding and drywall.
• Install items where designated.
• Conduct repairs and maintenance.

Introduction

Carpenter requirements and qualifications:

• Previous working experience as a carpenter for 3 years
• In-depth knowledge of different carpentry materials and techniques
• Hands on experience with appropriate electrical tools
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
• Good physical condition and manual dexterity
• Completed carpentry apprenticeship
