Job summary

Tessera is seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at Fort Riley, near Junction City. This Full-Time, day-shift role offers a comprehensive benefits package and the chance to work on diverse carpentry projects across military facilities.

Responsibilities include inspections, repairs, and installation of walls, floors, roofs, and related structures while maintaining finishes, safety standards, and environmental compliance. Strong reading of blueprints and maps is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of Carpentry experience.
• Journeyman level Carpenter preferred.
• Must be able to read and comprehend building specifications, blueprints, and maps.

• Perform inspections, preventative maintenance, and repair buildings and structures.
• Layout, install, replace, repair, and remove interior and exterior walls, floors, roofs, platform towers, steps and handrails, ceilings, and roofs.

• Operate hand and power tools safely.
• Maintain service and repair records daily.
• Ensure installations meet environmental protection requirements.

Typical duties include but are not limited to:

• Perform inspections, preventative maintenance, and repair buildings, structures, and associated property.
• Maintenance, repair, and alteration of buildings and structures shall include all structural features such as foundations, walls, doors, door stops, door closures, windows, roof framing, roofing, floors and floor coverings, porches, wood fencing and trim, stairs, fixtures, hardware, exterior and interior painting, and glazing.
• Layout, install, replace, repair, and remove interior and exterior walls, floors, roofs, platform towers, steps and handrails, ceilings, and roofs.
• Interior and exterior finishes, trim, and decor shall be maintained to match or exceed existing appearance and Carpentry work shall be planned and accomplished to offer maximum resistance to fungus, mildew, termites, water absorption, and all other deleterious effects of the environment.

• Maintain professionalism in both appearance and demeanor.
• Must be able to operate a Tessera vehicle.

Qualifications:

Physical Requirements:
