Job summary

Paradise Valley Health Care Center, Inc. is seeking a Dietary Aide to support kitchen and dining operations. The role reports to the Cook and Dietary supervisor and emphasizes learning the food service routine quickly, setting up meal trays, washing dishes, and assisting with meal service.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent and obtaining a food handlers’ certificate; standing, lifting up to 50 pounds, and ability to work cooperatively with staff are expected daily.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must obtain and maintain food handlers’ certificate.
• Ability to read and follow recipes and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Set up meal trays.
• Strip down returned trays and start washing dishes.
• Assist with serving the different meals.
• Check and record chlorine concentration and water temperature of the dishwasher.
• Operate dishwasher and maintain kitchen cleanliness.
• Prepare nourishments and snacks.
• Sweep and mop kitchen and maintain floors.
• Carry out trash and garbage and put groceries away safely.
• Participate in orientation and ongoing training of dietary staff.
