Job summary

Lexington-Post-Acute is seeking a dependable Dietary Aide to support daily meal service in our facility in Lexington, VA. You will learn our food service routines, set up meal trays, assist with serving, and help keep kitchens clean and sanitary.

You'll work closely with cooks and the dietary supervisor, perform routine dishwashing tasks, monitor dishwashers, and participate in staff orientation and ongoing training to ensure safety and quality in every meal.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read and follow recipes and procedures.
• Must obtain and maintain a food handlers’ certificate.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Set up meal trays and assist with serving meals.
• Wash dishes and maintain kitchen cleanliness.
• Check dishwashing water temperatures and monitor equipment.
• Assist the cook and dietary supervisor as needed.
• Attend orientation and training of dietary staff.
