Job summary

Fairlawn Haven in Archbold, OH seeks an Environmental Services Aide (Housekeeping) to clean and sanitize all areas of the facility. This role involves room transitions, laundry duties, and regular housekeeping tasks with day shift availability. Full-time or part-time positions on first shift plus occasional evenings and weekends may apply.

Ideal candidates will have a positive attitude, good English communication, and strong attendance. CPR/First Aid preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to speak, read, and write conversational English, required.
• Positive attitude and ability to work harmoniously with all, required.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and Residents' Rights, required.
• First aid and CPR certification, preferred.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public.
• Excellent attendance and work history, required.
• Must be able to stand for the entire shift, and to push, pull move and/or lift supplies and equipment, max. over 50 lbs.
• Must be able to grasp, pull, push, twist, squat, walk, and use both hands as described on the Job Analysis sheet.
• Familiarity with cleaning and disinfecting materials, SDS, OSHA safe practices, preferred.

Responsibilities

• The housekeeper/laundry aide performs duties of cleaning and sanitizing all areas on a regular basis throughout the facility.
• Responsible for room transitions; these tasks include washing beds, sweeping and mopping, trash removal, and equipment cleaning.
• Completes linen procedures of washing, drying, ironing, and folding all laundry.
• The individual will have close contact with residents and families.
