Job summary

Responsibilities include setting tables, portioning desserts, and ensuring proper stock and cleanliness of kitchens, dining rooms and stock areas. The role emphasizes resident dignity, safety, and adherence to facility policies.

Qualifications

• Read, write and follow directions in English.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in dining areas.

Responsibilities

• Make all beverages (coffee, tea, juices).
• Serve residents their food in a courteous and timely manner.
• Set tables with proper items (butter, jelly, sugar, etc.).
• Help portion out desserts.
• Linen pickup and laundry processing after meals.
• Complete table set-up promptly after meals.
• Sweep and mop dining room after each meal.
• Wash dishes.
• Empty garbage daily.
• Stock pantry when groceries arrive.
• Keep stock room clean and organized.
• Sweep and mop stockrooms regularly.
• Keep refrigerators neat and cleaned daily.
• Maintain cleanliness of bins, drains, and service tables.
• Wash floor mats and trash cans on Saturdays.
• Support residents' dignity, safety and rights.
• Adhere to Adult Care Home policies and procedures.
• Participate in continuing education as required.
