Job summary

Founders Care & Rehabilitation is seeking a kitchen aide to assist with meal preparation, service, and cleanup for residents. The role focuses on maintaining a sanitary dining area and delivering meals per schedule.

You will support cooks, prepare nourishments, desserts, and beverages, follow production sheets, and help with tray-line setup and cleanup. Prior experience in a large kitchen is preferred, with a high school diploma or equivalent required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required or preferred.
• One year of work in a large-scale cooking operation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food ordering, storage and preparation as designated by supervisor.
• Assist cooks as directed by supervisor.
• Prepare nourishments and desserts, salads and beverages.
• Follow production sheets and guidelines.
• Prepare and pre-prep vegetables and fruits; portion meat for menu compliance.
• Clean and sanitize equipment and work areas; mop floors; dispose of trash.
• Meet meal schedules and assist in meal tray service and setup; breakdown at end of serving line.
