Responsibilities

• Assists in serving meals on a timely basis.
• Assists in daily or scheduled cleaning; keeps work areas clean and free of hazards.
• Cleans and sets up trays and dining area as instructed.
• Works as a Cook as directed.
• Maintains proper food temperatures during preparation and service.
• Assists in checking therapeutic diet trays before distribution.
• Delivers food carts and trays to designated areas.
• Performs dishwashing/cleaning; ensures utensils and dishes are ready for the next meal.
• Prepares food and supplies meals; prepares and delivers snacks.
• Assists in inventory and storing dietary supplies; keeps storage areas clean and organized.
• Assists in food preparation for special events.
• Disposes of food and waste per policies.
• Makes authorized food substitutions.
• Performs other duties as directed.
