Responsibilities

• Prepares and serves meals that are palatable and appetizing in appearance.
• Maintains proper temperature of food during preparation and service.
• Records food temperature prior to meal service and takes corrective action if needed.
• Assists in inventory and storage of food and supplies; rotates stock to follow FIFO.
• Assists in establishing food service production line to ensure timely meals.
• Processes diet changes and new orders to serve meals as ordered.
• Inspects meal trays to ensure correct diet is served to residents.
