Job summary

Noland Health Services, Inc. is seeking a dietary aide/dishwasher to assist in meal preparation and service for residents and guests in our community. You will help with prep, trays, cleanup, and sanitation, following guidelines and policies.

High school diploma or equivalent preferred; experience in food service is a plus. This on-site role supports the dietary team with daily tasks and occasional special events.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in a food service setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists in serving meals as necessary and on a timely basis.
• Assists in daily or scheduled cleaning, including carrying out garbage and keeping work areas clean, dry, and free of hazardous equipment, supplies, etc.
• Cleans and sets up trays, food carts, the dining room, etc. as instructed.
• Works as a Cook as directed.
• Maintains proper temperature of food during preparation and service.
• Assists in checking therapeutic diet trays before distribution.
• Delivers food carts, trays, etc., to designated areas.
• Performs dishwashing/cleaning procedures. Assure that utensils and dishware are readily available for the next meal.
• Prepares food and supplies meals.
• Prepares and delivers snacks as instructed.
• Assists in inventory and storing of dietary supplies and maintain food storage areas in a clean and organized manner.
• Assists in food preparation for special events.
• Disposes of food and waste in accordance with established policies.
• Makes only authorized food substitutions.
• Performs other duties as directed and assume additional responsibilities as assigned.

Education
