Job summary

Edenton House is seeking a friendly Dietary Aide to join our culinary team and help provide nutritious, resident-focused meals to our residents. You will assist with meal service, portioning, food preparation, and basic kitchen tasks in a compassionate, senior living environment.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation, and the ability to follow directions and work well as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Meal Assistance: Help prepare, portion, and serve meals to residents according to dietary plans and requests.
• Sanitation & Cleanliness: Maintain cleanliness and organization in kitchen and dining areas; wash dishes and equipment as needed.
• Resident Support: Assist residents with meal setup, serving, and a positive dining experience.
• Food Safety: Follow all food safety protocols including storage, handling, and sanitation.
• Inventory Support: Assist in receiving and storing food and supplies; notify shortages.
• Team Collaboration: Work with dietary team to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
• Resident Engagement: Accommodate special dietary requests and resident preferences.
