Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, and 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to use supplies economically and operate equipment safely.
• Demonstrate neat appearance and good personal hygiene.
• Ability to read diet cards, speak English, and lift up to 30 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist cook on duty with non-cooking duties and contribute to sanitary, safe dietary conditions.
• Follow planned menu and prepare food and beverages according to tested recipes.
• Provide food service to residents and assist in serving beverages and tray carts.
• Wash, rinse, and sanitize all dishes, silverware, etc.
• Clean, sanitize, sweep, and mop work areas.
• Assist with duties of the Cook and Assistant Cook in preparation of meals, drinks, supplements, and snacks.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
