Job summary

Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Group company, is hiring a Patient Dining Associate (Dietary Aide) for a full-time role at Hendrick South - 6250 Highway 82-84, Abilene, TX 79606. The position offers three 12-hour shifts and one 6-hour shift with rotating weekends.

Prior customer service is preferred but not required; pay is $17.50 per hour. As part of the patient care team, you will assist with menu selections, tray assembly, and delivery while following safety, HACCP, and HIPAA guidelines.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and interpret documents in English.
• Basic computer and mathematical skills.
• Must be able to occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Help patients understand their menu selections and work with nursing to ensure orders comply with nutritional requirements.
• Determine menu alternatives for patients with allergies, sensitivities, or cultural/religious preferences.
• Manage tray tickets and assemble meals according to each patient’s menu selection in a timely and accurate manner.
• Comply with federal, state and local health and sanitation regulations and HIPAA policies.
• Follow HACCP guidelines when handling food and maintaining work stations.
