Job summary

Midwest Health Inc. Dietary Aide position supports kitchen operations before, during and after meals, assists in maintaining clean work areas, and helps serve meals and beverages to residents.

Duties include following safety and infection control policies, reporting hazards or incidents to supervisors, assisting in meal preparation as needed, performing dishwashing, and helping with daily cleaning to ensure a safe, respectful environment for residents and staff.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Must have basic computer skills.
• Must be able to work beyond normal working hours and on weekends and holidays when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Comply with facility policies and procedures.
• Report allegations of resident abuse/neglect to the supervisor.
• Treat residents, family, visitors, and team members with dignity and respect.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident and family information.
• Assist in serving meals and pouring beverages.
• Prepare and serve in-between meal nourishment snacks.
• Assist in daily cleaning duties per established policies.
• Clean work tables, meat blocks, refrigerators/freezers, and food storage areas.
• Carry out garbage disposal and keep work areas clean and safe.
