Job summary

Hermitage-Health- in Elizabethton, TN is seeking a Dietary Aide to assist in food preparation and serving while maintaining sanitary kitchen and dining areas under the supervision of the Dietary Manager or Cook.

This role requires teamwork, adherence to safety procedures, and a caring approach to residents. The position involves lifting, standing, and routine duties to support nutrition services and patient comfort.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospital or skilled nursing facility dietary department preferred.
• Organized and detailed in work performance.
• Good communication skills with excellent self-discipline and patience.
• Genuine caring for and interest in elderly and disabled people in a nursing facility.
• Comply with the Residents' Rights and Facility Policies and Procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and serving of meals and snacks.
• Assist in checking trays for menu and diet preferences and accuracy.
• Set up trays and deliver meals to residents.
• Set up serving line with cold foods, condiments, serving containers, dishes, silverware, etc.
