Qualifications

• HS degree or GED.
• At least 3 years of cargo operations, logistics, or airline handling experience.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Knowledge of air cargo handling procedures, security regulations, and dangerous goods handling.
• Proficient with Cargo Management systems.
• Knowledge of TSA and FAA regulations for PAX and Cargo flights, and of ULD control.

Responsibilities

• Monitor GHA buildup process to ensure flight safety and utilization.
• Coordinate flight operations with the GHA and security teams.
• Identify problems and propose solutions to maintain compliance with standards and goals.
• Monitor ULD stock and reporting.
• Check and validate GHA invoices for accuracy.
• Maintain operations per CBP and TSA regulations.
• Coordinate with CBP and TSA in case of inquiries or fines.
• Monitor overall import functions of GHA and handle irregularities.

Job description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Cargo Operations Supervisor to lead and oversee the daily functions of cargo handling and warehousing for our client in Kearny, NJ. The Cargo Supervisor manages daily cargo operations and ensures shipments are handled safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulations. They lead cargo teams, coordinate with internal and external partners, and ensure adherence to company standards, security protocols, and regulatory requirements. Supervisors are expected to drive efficient, safe, and compliant cargo operations with the GHA and security teams, meeting commercial needs while following company regulations, safety, COM, and local regulations such as TSA and CBP. 5 days/week, shift starts at 7am. Responsibilities- Monitoring GHA buildup process – pallets are built in a manner that ensures the flight's safety and its utilization.Handling flight operations – coordinate with the GHA team and security team for smooth loading and uplifting with all required information and according to commercial priority.Facilitate daily activities by identifying problems and recommending solutions to maintain proper compliance with company standards and goals.Monitoring ULD stock and reports.Checking and validating GHA's invoice accuracy.Maintaining operations according to CBP and TSA regulations.Delegating and mitigating with CBP and TSA in case of inquiry/fine.Monitoring overall import functions of GHA and in case of irregularity.Qualifications:- HS degree or GEDAt least 3 years of experience in cargo operations, logistics, or airline handling services.
