Job summary

Avfuel Corporation is seeking an Area Sales Manager focused on Large Cargo Airlines in Ann Arbor, MI. The role requires proactive account development, market expansion, and strategic partnerships to drive revenue growth.

The candidate will travel regularly to engage customers, build market expertise at airports, and collaborate with internal sales teams to uncover new revenue streams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Aviation experience preferred (charter, aircraft or parts sales, dispatch, management).
• 3–5 years outside sales experience is a plus.
• Must be able to travel and fly as part of duties.

Responsibilities

• Proactively acquire, develop, and retain high-value fuel accounts while cultivating long-term strategic partnerships.
• Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities, driving revenue growth through market development and solution-oriented selling.
• Enhance existing sales forecasts and performance targets, using market intelligence and data analysis to guide entrepreneurial decision-making.
• Achieve and exceed monthly and annual sales goals by maintaining existing business and growing the portfolio through proactive customer engagement.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with internal sales divisions to uncover new revenue streams.
• Develop market expertise across assigned airports and regions, identifying key influencers.
• Maintain a competitive edge through continuous research of industry news, competitor strategies, customer behaviors, and evolving industry dynamics.
• Exercise initiative in business support and prospecting within this segment, including strategic planning and execution.
• Travel regularly to engage customers face-to-face and uncover new market opportunities, including attending business events (approximately three days per week, every other week).
