U.S. Aviation Services is seeking a Cargo Agent (Union) in Houston, TX to support airport cargo operations across office and warehouse tasks. You will process cargo documents, enter data, coordinate with warehouse staff, and handle inquiries while following TSA and airline rules.

The union role offers full-time hours, benefits, paid training, and opportunities for advancement in a safety‑driven team. Prior cargo or office experience preferred, with strong detail orientation and customer service

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior cargo, airline, logistics, or office experience preferred.
• Basic computer proficiency, including email, data entry, and office systems.
• Ability to accurately handle paperwork and information in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Good communication and customer service skills.

Responsabilités

• Prepare, review, and process cargo documentation, including airway bills, manifests, delivery orders, and billing paperwork.
• Enter and maintain cargo shipment data in company and airline computer systems with a high level of accuracy.
• Coordinate inbound and outbound cargo activities with warehouse staff, drivers, airline representatives, and customers.
• Respond to customer, airline, and internal inquiries regarding cargo status, delays, discrepancies, and releases.
• Verify cargo details such as weight, piece count, special handling requirements, and customs status.
• Ensure compliance with TSA, FAA, airline, and company regulations and procedures.
• Assist in resolving documentation errors, shortages, damage reports, and other operational issues.
• Maintain organized records and files in accordance with retention and audit requirements.
• Perform clerical tasks such as answering phones, responding to emails, scanning documents, and preparing daily reports.
• Support supervisors and managers with administrative and operational needs as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of the position and applicable union agreement.
