Job summary

U.S. Aviation Services at Daniel K. Inouye International Airport is hiring Cargo Agents to ensure safe handling, loading, unloading, and processing of cargo. You will support secure operations, route shipments, and work across a busy airport cargo environment.

Roles require flexibility for morning/afternoon shifts, weekends, and adherence to TSA and USPS requirements. Join a dedicated team focused on safety, efficiency, and reliability in a dynamic aviation setting.

Qualifications

  • Must be 18+ years old or older.
  • Valid government issued worker's permit.
  • Valid Driver's License preferred.
  • Ability to pass a 10-year background check and pre-employment drug screen.
  • Ability to obtain a SIDA Badge and USPS Certification.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. We Use eVerify.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced cargo warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the safety and security of all cargo tendered for transportation and distribution.
  • Follow all government and operational regulations.
  • Install straps, braces, and padding to loads to prevent shifting or damage during shipment.
  • Assemble containers and crates used to transport items such as machines or vehicles.
  • Direct or participate in cargo loading to ensure completeness of load and even distribution of weight.
  • Direct delivery trucks to shipping doors or designated marshaling areas and help load and unload goods safely.
  • Route received goods to first available flight or to appropriate storage areas or departments using forklifts, hand trucks, or other equipment.
  • Retrieve stored items and trace lost shipments as necessary.
  • Attach address labels, identification codes, and shipping instructions to containers.
  • Inspect and count items received and check them against invoices or other documents, recording shortages and rejecting damaged goods.
  • Assist with general warehouse operations and cargo movement as assigned

U.S. Aviation Services has immediate openings for Cargo Agents at Daniel K. Inouye International Airport.

Shift Information

  • AM: Starting Time 8am
  • PM: Starting Time 2pm
  • Weekends Required

Position Summary

The Cargo Agent is responsible for ensuring the safe handling, movement, loading, unloading, and processing of cargo within the airport cargo warehouse operation. This position plays an important role in maintaining security standards, proper shipment routing, accurate freight handling, and compliance with all airline, TSA, USPS, and company operational requirements.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

  • Able to stand, walk, bend, and crouch for prolonged periods
  • Able to lift approximately 2575 lbs.
  • Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, and cargo movement required
  • Warehouse environment located within an active airport cargo operation
  • Exposure to changing weather conditions, aircraft noise, and time-sensitive operational demands
