Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.

• Must pass all pre-employment testing to include drug testing and a physical.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Must be able to lift 35 lbs repetitively.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain required airport badges/seals.
• Flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays.
• One-year college certificate or technical school or six months related experience.
• Certification in dangerous goods awareness.
• Previous customer service experience in a lead role preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft products.

Responsibilities

• Assigns employees to work specific jobs at front counter or airline account.
• Trains employees on work area rules, time clock, and department operations.
• Ensures employees are trained on policies, cash handling, security procedures and systems.
• Interfaces with other departments to ensure service issues are addressed and corrected.

Role Purpose

As a Menzies Aviation Lead Cargo Agent, you will be under limited supervision providing day to day work direction to Cargo Agents and serve as a backup to the Customer Service Supervisor.

This role requires you to maintain a safe and secure work environment, in accordance with local health, safety, and security policies and procedures

What you will be doing

• Assigns employees to work specific jobs at front counter or airline account.
• Performs new employee introduction to work area, explains work rules, uniform policy, time clock process, office-terminal procedures and provides overview of department operations.
• Trains employees on specifics or assigns employees to work with an experienced representative.
• Ensures that employees are fully trained on company policies and procedures including telephone procedures, cash handling, security procedures and systems.
• Interfaces with other departments to ensure that service issues are addressed and corrected to ensure quality of service.
• Adheres to Menzies uniform guidelines and code of conduct.
• Inventory of freight to insure proper accounting of cargo.
• Must follow all Security procedures as required.
• Other duties as assigned.

What we are looking for:

• Must be 18 years of age or older

• Must be comfortable lifting 35lbs repetitively
• Must be able to obtain and maintain all required Airports and Custom badges/seals
• Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays
• One-year college certificate or technical school, six months related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Certification in dangerous good awareness/acceptance
• Previous customer service experience in a lead role preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft products
