Qualifications

• Previous caregiving experience preferred.
• California Home Care Aide registration and background clearance.
• Ability to complete agency orientation and required training.
• Reliable transportation to and from client locations.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Ability to use a smartphone for electronic visit verification (EVV).
• Ability to perform essential caregiving duties, with or without accommodation.
• Two or more years of caregiving experience encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with bathing, grooming, dressing, and personal hygiene.
• Providing companionship and emotional support.
• Supporting safe mobility, transfers, and fall prevention within training.
• Preparing meals and assisting with eating as appropriate.
• Providing medication reminders within the permitted non-medical scope.
• Performing light housekeeping and laundry.
• Assisting clients with dementia or memory impairment.
• Observing and reporting changes in client condition, behavior, or safety.
• Maintaining accurate service records and EVV compliance.
• Following individualized care plans and agency policies.

Your Responsibilities

As a Shalom Family Care caregiver, you will provide compassionate, non-medical assistance in clients' homes.

Your duties may include:

• Assisting with bathing, grooming, dressing, and personal hygiene.
• Providing companionship and emotional support.

• Performing light housekeeping and laundry.
• Assisting clients living with dementia or memory impairment.
• Observing and promptly reporting changes in client condition, behavior, or safety.
• Maintaining accurate service records and following electronic visit verification (EVV) requirements.
• Following individualized care plans, agency policies, and professional boundaries.

Caregivers with two or more years of experience are strongly encouraged to apply.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Previous professional or personal caregiving experience preferred.
• California Home Care Aide registration and required background clearance, or willingness to complete applicable requirements before assignment.
• Ability to complete agency orientation and required training.
• Reliable transportation to and from assigned client locations.
• Ability to use a smartphone or approved device for electronic visit verification.
• Ability to perform essential caregiving duties, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Veteran Care Assignments: Caregivers providing services under the VA Homemaker/Home Health Aide Program are strictly prohibited from transporting Veterans in personal vehicles or vehicles belonging to Veterans. All services must follow the approved VA care plan and agency policies.

Competitive Compensation

Hourly Pay: $23.00–$27.00

Starting compensation is determined by relevant experience, qualifications, specialized skills, and assignment responsibilities.

Higher rates may be offered to caregivers with demonstrated experience in dementia care, personal care, and supporting clients with more involved daily living needs.
