Shalom Family Care LLC is hiring compassionate, dependable, and professional part-time caregivers to support seniors, Veterans, and individuals who need assistance living safely and independently in their homes.

We offer a competitive pay range of $23.00–$27.00 per hour, with opportunities based on experience and qualifications. Join a supportive team providing meaningful in-home care across Berkeley, Oakland, and Alameda.

Qualifications

• Previous caregiving experience preferred.
• California Home Care Aide registration and background clearance.
• Ability to complete agency orientation and required training.
• Reliable transportation to and from client locations.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Ability to use a smartphone for electronic visit verification (EVV).
• Ability to perform essential caregiving duties, with or without accommodation.
• Two or more years of caregiving experience encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with bathing, grooming, dressing, and personal hygiene.
• Providing companionship and emotional support.
• Supporting safe mobility, transfers, and fall prevention within training.
• Preparing meals and assisting with eating as appropriate.
• Providing medication reminders within the permitted non-medical scope.
• Performing light housekeeping and laundry.
• Assisting clients with dementia or memory impairment.
• Observing and reporting changes in client condition, behavior, or safety.
• Maintaining accurate service records and EVV compliance.
• Following individualized care plans and agency policies.
