Job summary

Goddard House in Brookline, MA is seeking a Resident Care Associate (CNA/CHHA) to provide compassionate, direct care to senior residents in a safe, home-like setting. The role supports daily living activities, dining, and activity coordination.

Full-time daytime shifts (7:00 AM–3:00 PM) and Per Diem options are available. Competitive pay starts at $20–$21/hour with comprehensive benefits including health, dental, vision, and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• Certification: CNA or CHHA as required.
• Physical requirements: standing, sitting, bending and transferring residents.
• Communication: ability to communicate effectively with residents and coworkers.
• Punctuality & reliability: dependable to assist with daily living activities.

Responsibilities

• Spend quality time with seniors and provide direct personal care.
• Join or lead activities with residents.
• Track care and tasks using our electronic health record system.
• Assist housekeeping with light housekeeping duties.
• Escort residents to meals and assist with dining services as needed.
• Collaborate across departments to foster cooperation and respect.

What Our Resident Care Associates Do

• Spend quality time with seniors and provide direct personal care


• Join or lead fun activities of your choice with the residents

• Assist the housekeeping team with light housekeeping services


• Escort residents to meals and assist with dining services, as needed

Requirements

• Certification: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA)**


• Physical requirements : Standing, sitting, bending, and transferring residents (with and without assistance)


• Communication: An ability to communicate effectively with residents and co-workers


• Punctuality & reliability – Our residents rely on us to assist them with their daily living activities and we expect our associates to deliver on this promise.
