The Home and Community Based Services Aide provides support and assistance with personal hygiene and household tasks, enabling individuals to remain in their own homes.

Specific Job Duties/Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing (bed, tub, or shower), hair care, denture care, nail care (filing only), skin care, and transfers (bed to chair, wheelchair, bedpan, commode, toilet).
• Report observations of the client’s condition to the agency director or accounts manager.
• Drive safely, adhere to traffic laws, and wear a seat belt during business travel.
• Assist with household tasks essential to the client’s personal care.

Experience Desired

• Six months of home care experience preferred
• Successful completion of a competency evaluation

License Requirements

• Valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and access to a reliable vehicle or public transportation
• Current CPR certification

State Specific Requirements

• KY, OH, MO, NC: No additional requirements
• KY: Must complete aide training and competency evaluation; current CPR certification
