Responsibilities

Job Summary

The Home and Community-Based Services Aide provides support and assistance with personal hygiene and household tasks, enabling individuals to remain in their own homes.

Specific Job Duties/Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing (bed, tub, or shower), hair care, denture care, nail care, skin care, and transfers (bed to chair, wheelchair, bedpan, toilet, etc.).
• Report observations of the client's condition to the agency director or accounts manager.
• Drive safely, adhere to traffic laws, and wear a seat belt during business travel.

Help with household tasks essential to the client's personal care.

Education and Experience

• Preferred: Six months of experience in home care.
• Successful completion of a competency evaluation.

License Requirements

• Valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, dependable vehicle or access to public transportation.
• Current CPR certification.

State Specific Requirements

• KY, OH, MO, NC: No additional requirements.

Skill Requirements

• Flexible hours to meet client needs.
• Ability to work independently in diverse home situations.
• Strong communication, writing, and organizational skills.
