Responsibilities

Job Summary

The Home and Community-Based Services Aide provides support and assistance with personal hygiene and household functions, enabling individuals to remain in their own homes.

Specific Job Duties/Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing (bed, tub, or shower), hair care, denture care, nail care, skin care, and transfers between bed, chair, wheelchair, bedpan, commode, and toilet.
• Report observations of the client's condition to the agency director or accounts manager.
• Drive safely, comply with traffic regulations, and wear a seat belt during business travel.
• Assist with household tasks essential to clients' personal care.

Education and Experience

Experience Desired

• Six months of home care experience preferred.
• Successful completion of a competency evaluation.

License Requirements

• Current driver's license, vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation.
• Current CPR certification.

State Specific Requirements

• KY, OH, MO, NC: No additional requirements.

Skill Requirements

• Ability to work flexible hours as needed to meet client needs.
• Ability to work independently in any home situation regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition.
• Good communication, writing, and organizational skills.
