Job summary

Always Family HomeCare in Vienna is seeking a compassionate Caregiver to assist an elderly gentleman in the afternoon. The client resides in a facility and requires standby assistance; expect 6-hour shifts with openings every day of the week.

You will provide personal care, companionship, and light homemaking, while following nursing staff directions to support the client's daily activities and safety in his home environment.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience as a Caregiver.
• CNA license, CNA certificate, PCA, or HHA preferred.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Follow RN Supervisor instructions to provide personal assistance services.
• Assist with hygiene including bathing, oral care, and dressing.
• Assist with food preparation, light housekeeping, laundry, and errands.
• Observe and report safety hazards or significant changes to the RN.
• Attend staff meetings and complete required in-services.
• Report client complaints and abnormal findings per care plan to RN.

Job Summary

Does it bring you joy to assist the elderly with daily activities? We are seeking a compassionate Caregiver to assist an elderly gentleman in Vienna. He is residing in a facility, and also has assistance from the facility staff. He has some mobility difficulty, but can use standby assistance. Primarily he needs a companion caregiver to spend the afternoons with him. Expect 6 hour shifts with openings every day of the week.

Benefits:

• Hourly rate of $17 to $20 per hour based on licensing and experience.

Job Responsibilities

Must be able to perform the following essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations:

• Follows the instructions of the RN Supervisor in providing personal assistance services.

• Provide assistance with hygiene such as bathing, oral care, and dressing.

• Assist with food preparation; serve food, performs errands, light housekeeping, laundry, wash dishes.

• Observe and report any safety hazards found in the client’s home or any significant observations regarding the client.

• Attend staff meetings, attend/complete 12 hours of annual in-services, and participates in orientation of new employees.

• Report client complaints to the RN Supervisor.

• Report abnormal findings in client’s conditions as observed and per care plan to RN.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Experience: Two years of experience as a Caregiver. CNA license, CNA certificate, PCA, or HHA preferred.

• Requirements:

  • Authorized to work in the United States

  • Pass a background check and drug screen

  • Current Driver's License

  • Current TB test

  • Reliable transportation, able to travel throughout Fairfax County and surrounding areas
