Job summary

Always Family HomeCare in Prince William County is seeking compassionate Caregivers to provide exemplary personal and companion care to elderly clients in their homes. The role includes assisting with ADLs, meals, light housekeeping, and transportation.

Dementia experience is highly desired and reliable transportation is required to travel throughout the county. Companionship tasks include memory games, reading, conversation, and accompanying clients on walks.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience as a Caregiver.
• MCNA license, CNA certificate, PCA, or HHA required/preferred.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Pass a background check and drug screen.
• Current Driver's License.
• Current TB test.
• Reliable transportation with ability to travel in Prince William County and surrounding areas.
• Immunizations including COVID-19 and flu encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Follow RN Supervisor instructions to provide personal care.
• Assist with hygiene: bathing, oral care, dressing.
• Assist with meal prep; light housekeeping, laundry, errands.
• Observe and report safety hazards in the client’s home.
• Attend staff meetings and required in-services; orientation for new staff.
• Report client concerns to the RN Supervisor.
• Record abnormal client observations as per care plan.

We are seeking compassionate Caregivers to provide exemplary personal care and companion care to elderly clients in Prince William County. Previous experience with dementia is highly desired. Care will include assistance with ADLs and companion care. Includes assistance with meal preparation, light housekeeping, laundry, accompanying to appointments, medication reminders. Companion care also includes games, reading, memory care, conversation, and accompanying seniors on walks. Must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel throughout Prince William County and surrounding areas.

Benefits:

• Hourly rate of $17 to $21 per hour based on licensing and experience.

Job Responsibilities

Must be able to perform the following essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations:

• Follows the instructions of the RN Supervisor in providing personal assistance services.
• Provide assistance with hygiene such as bathing, oral care, and dressing.
• Assist with food preparation; serve food, performs errands, light housekeeping, laundry, wash dishes.
• Observe and report any safety hazards found in the client’s home or any significant observations regarding the client.
• Attend staff meetings, attend/complete 12 hours of annual in-services, and participates in orientation of new employees.
• Report client complaints to the RN Supervisor.
• Report abnormal findings in client’s conditions as observed and per care plan to RN.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Experience: Two years of experience as a Caregiver. Must have MCNA license, CNA certificate, PCA, or HHA.
• Requirements:
