Job summary

Always Family HomeCare in Alexandria, VA seeks a compassionate Caregiver to assist with ADLs and provide companion care for an elderly gentleman. Weekday shifts 10am–5pm; client uses a shower chair and walker and requires standby assistance during showers and transfers.

Responsibilities include personal care, hygiene, light housekeeping, meal prep, and reporting changes to the RN. Must have one year of caregiver experience; CNA preferred, valid US work authorization, and a current driver’s

• One year of caregiver experience; CNA is highly desirable.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Pass a background check and drug screen.
• Current Driver's License.
• Current TB test and COVID-19/flu immunizations.

Responsibilities

• Follows the instructions of the PAS Supervisor in providing personal assistance services.
• Provide assistance with hygiene such as bathing, oral care, and dressing.
• Assist with food preparation; serve food, perform errands, light housekeeping, laundry, wash dishes.
• Observe and report safety hazards in the client’s home or significant observations regarding the client.
• Attend staff meetings, complete 12 hours of annual in-services, and participate in orientation of new employees.
• Report client complaints to the PAS Supervisor.
• Report abnormal findings to the RN per care plan.

Job Summary

Client has Alzhheimer's, wears depends, and needs standby assistance during showers and transfers. Uses a shower chair and walker.

Job Responsibilities
