Job summary

Alliance Homecare is seeking a compassionate Personal Care Assistant (PCA)/Caregiver to join our team. You will assist clients with daily living activities, provide personal care, companionship, and help maintain a safe, comfortable home environment.

You should be reliable, able to perform physical tasks, and communicate effectively with clients and families. Prior caregiving experience is preferred but not required; training is provided to ensure high-quality, respectful care.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills and a genuine desire to help others.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and transferring clients.
• Reliable, punctual, and capable of working independently as well as part of a team.
• Previous caregiver experience is preferred but not required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal hygiene tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Help with mobility, including transfers and ambulation, and ensure a safe environment.
• Prepare and serve meals, following any dietary restrictions or preferences.
• Assist with light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, cleaning, and organization.
• Provide medication reminders and help with prescribed exercises or therapies.
• Offer companionship and engage clients in meaningful conversation and activities.
• Monitor and report changes in clients health or behavior to appropriate personnel.
• Respect and maintain client confidentiality and privacy at all times.
• Adhere to all safety and health guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
