Job summary

Senior Helpers in Texas is seeking Caregivers/CNA's for private duty assignments across the George West area. You will provide compassionate care, assist with daily living activities, meals, mobility, light housekeeping, and transportation for clients seven days a week.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, reliable transportation, and at least 1 year of experience with seniors; some roles may require weekend availability and a background check. CPR is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Reliable transportation to assignments is required.
• Minimum 1 year working with seniors in a professional setting.
• Alzheimer's/dementia experience preferred; CPR certification is a plus.
• Age 18+; weekend availability may be required; background check performed.

The job description outlines your primary responsibilities as a caregiver. Prior to beginning a new assignment, Senior Helpers will provide you with background information about your client and review special needs this client may have.

Objective: To provide professional caregiving services and to help clients maintain their independence and to assist them with the activities of daily living and household and family support services.

Reports to: Care Team/ Client Service Manager

Primary Responsibilities (including, But Not Limited To)

• Companionship and conversation
• Light housekeeping
• Household management
• Walking assistance
• Eating assistance
• Errands
• Transportation using clients vehicle or your vehicle
• Meal planning and preparation
• Laundry and linen changing
• Bathing assistance
• Dressing assistance
• Toileting
• Medication reminders
• Monitor Alzheimer's and dementia clients
• Overnight
• Assist client to and from bed
• Assist client throughout the night

Other Requirements

• Pass recurring 30-daqy skills assessment and client review with Client Services Manager (if required by state)
• Document activities in the Care Plan Book daily
• Record daily hours worked and daily services performed in Well Sky software or if turning in a Weekly timesheet and service log, must be turned in by 5pm , every Monday.
• Report any significant client changes to the office immediately
• Follow all policies and procedures as outlined in the Senior Helpers employee handbook and training manual

Pay: $13.50 per hour plus depends on assignment
