Job summary

The Waters in Minneapolis is looking for a dedicated Resident Assistant to support residents with daily activities in a warm, community setting. You will help with bathing, dressing, dining, and daily living tasks, while helping maintain a safe, respectful atmosphere for residents and families.

You will collaborate with a caring team, complete daily charting, and participate in our employee growth program, with benefits starting after the start date.

Qualifications

• High-school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year nursing/resident assistant care experience in senior services preferred.
• Ability to read, write, speak and follow verbal directions in English.
• Basic computer skills with experience or ability to learn electronic health record systems.
• Possess compassion for and commitment to hospitality, service, and excellence in senior care.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Ability to be flexible with hours/shift schedules and assignments.

Responsibilities

• Provides personal care services including: bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, positioning, transferring, and other care as designated.
• Assist residents in dining.
• Provides homemaking tasks.
• Responds to and reports changes in resident's health status and/or any recommendations for changes that should be made to the resident plan of care.
• Completes thorough daily charting.
• Works well with a team to provide a caring environment.
• Block schedules - you'll know what to expect!
