Job summary

Merrill Gardens at Rockridge is seeking a dedicated Senior Living Caregiver for the Evening Shift in Oakland, CA. You will support residents with daily activities, assist with meals, and document progress in daily reports to ensure compassionate, person-centered care.

The role requires CNA certification or equivalent experience, ability to obtain CPR/First Aid within 30 days, and a passion for dignified elder care in a family-owned environment that values growth and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Current caregiver training/certification as specified by state agency or the ability to obtain.
• CNA license or two years previous experience as a caregiver
• Ability to obtain first aid/CPR certification within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living including dressing, bathing, meals, laundry and general care.
• Manage medication as allowed by the state and completing daily progress reports of services provided.
• Completes progress reports for Assisted Living & Garden House residents daily or more often if needed.

Actual pay rate within stated pay range is determined based on relevant factors in compliance with state and local wage laws. This range reflects what we reasonably expect to pay upon hire.

Physical Requirements:

This role involves frequent standing, walking, lifting (up to 75 lbs), and assisting with resident care. Regular bending, reaching, and physical movement are required throughout the workday. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
