Job summary

Thrive Support Services, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Caregiver / Personal Attendant to provide compassionate care to individuals with developmental disabilities in Pleasant Hill and Concord, CA.

You will help with daily living tasks and support clients toward independence in their own homes and communities. The role offers both full-time and part-time positions with a pay range of $19.00-$24.00 per hour, a $600 hiring bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year experience as caregiver or in-home aide, preferably with adults with developmental disabilities.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must pass DOJ background check and obtain CPR/First Aid and TB test results.

Responsibilities

• Support daily living activities such as dressing, grooming, meal planning and preparation.
• Administer medications as directed and assist with medication management.
• Provide light housekeeping and accompany clients on community outings.

Pay: $19.00-$24.00 per hour

Hiring Bonus: $600 hiring bonus ($200 after the first full week working with clients and $400 after the completion of 90 days).

This rewarding role involves empowerment through helping with daily tasks and fostering independence.

Caregiver / Personal Attendant Responsibilities:

The Caregiver / Personal Attendant will support our developmentally disabled clients with their daily living activities of such as dressing, grooming, meal planning and preparation, medication administration and community outing. Other duties will include light housekeeping.

Caregiver / Personal Attendant Qualifications:

• At least one (1) year experience working as a caregiver or in-home aide, preferably with adults with developmental disabilities
• High level of accountability and dependability
• Must be able to provide hands‑on care and support including bathing, dressing, changing depends, assist with medication, etc
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Must have a valid California Driver License
• Must have access to reliable vehicle
• Must be able to pass DOJ fingerprinting/criminal background check
• Must be able to obtain CPR/First Aid certification
• Must be able to obtain TB test result
• Must have valid auto insurance with $100,000-$300,000 bodily injury liability insurance
