Job summary

BrightStar Care of The Monterey Peninsula is seeking experienced in-home Caregivers to support clients with compassionate, personalized care on a part-time basis. Shifts are 4 hours and offer flexible scheduling, including weekend coverage.

Responsibilities include ADL assistance, meal prep, companionship, light housekeeping, and documenting care notes. Required are a valid driver's license, reliable insured vehicle, CPR certification, and eligibility to register with the Home Care Aide

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License required.
• Reliable, insured vehicle required.
• CPR certification.
• Negative TB skin test or chest X-ray.
• Registration or willingness to register to be on the Home Care Aide Registry.
• 1 year of previous professional in-home Caregiver experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, personalized care to clients in need.
• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming).
• Transport clients to appointments and errands.
• Prepare and serve meals per dietary needs.
• Assist with light housekeeping and living-area tidying.
• Provide companionship and engage clients in activities.
• Monitor changes in client condition and report to medical professionals.
• Document tasks and care notes per visit.
• Follow HIPAA guidelines to protect client confidentiality.

Duties:

• Provide compassionate and personalized care to individuals in need


• Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming


• Transport clients to appointments, errands and other


• Prepare and serve meals while adhering to dietary requirements as needed


• Assist with light housekeeping tasks, such as laundry and tidying up living areas


• Provide companionship and engage in social activities with clients


• Monitor and report any changes in client's condition to the appropriate medical professionals


• Document tasks and create care notes for each visit


• Follow all HIPAA guidelines to ensure client confidentiality

Requirements Caregiver:

• Valid Driver's License


• Reliable, Insured Vehicle


• Certified CPR and negative TB skin test or chest x-ray


• Registration or willing to register to be on the Home Care Aide Registry


• 1 year of previous professional experience as an in home Caregiver / Home Care Aide or similar (preferred)
