Job summary

Life Inc. is seeking a Direct Support Professional to assist and monitor clients with daily self-care, meal support, and community activities in a North Carolina setting.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist and monitor clients with dressing, bathing, toileting and all other self-care.
• Assist with meals and ensure use of family-style dining.
• Assist with housekeeping tasks including clothing care, house cleaning, and yard care.
• Assist with meal preparation and nutritional supplements.
• Assist with administration of prescribed medications without error.
• Assist with diet orders and adaptive equipment usage.
• Implement and follow established behavior programs and safety procedures.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team and communicate client information to supervisors.
• Transport and supervise clients in company vehicles and during community outings.
• Support participation in school and day program activities and other duties as assigned.

Shift Details

Full time second Shift 3-11 off every Monday/every other weekend

Responsibilities

• Assist and monitor clients while dressing, bathing, toileting, and in all other aspects of self-care.
• Assist and monitor clients during meals to ensure utilization of family style dining.
• Assist and monitor clients in all aspects of housekeeping responsibilities (Clothing care, house cleaning, and yard care).
• Assist and monitor clients in preparing meals and nutritional supplements.
• Assist and monitor clients in the administration of prescribed medication without error.
• Assist and monitor clients in the implementation of prescribed diet orders and utilization of adaptive equipment
• Implement and follow all established behavior programs, data collection, and established safety procedures.
• Assist and monitor clients in appropriate active treatment including training objective plans, recording data, and implementing service goals.
• Participate as a member of the interdisciplinary team and to communicate appropriate clients information as directed by supervisory staff.
• Transport and monitor clients on Company vehicles as directed.
• Assist and monitor clients during community outings.
• Assist and monitor clients during participation at school and day program activities.
• Other duties as assigned
