Job summary

Avalon Memory Care in Irving, TX is seeking caring night-shift caregivers to support residents with daily living activities from 6pm to 6am. The role offers $13 per hour, with full-time, non-exempt employment and a focus on safety and quality of life for residents with dementia.

Responsibilities include assisting with bathing, dressing, grooming, meals, mobility, medication reminders, and adhering to care plans while maintaining a clean, respectful home environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old or a high school graduate.
• Documentation of immunizations.
• Experience with seniors preferred; CNA preferred but not required.
• Be able to lift, carry, push and pull 50 pounds.
• Must clear a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, restroom).

Responsibilities

Nightshift hours are from 6pm to 6am

$13 hr

• Assisting residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, eating and restroom assistance.
• Implement and support the resident care plans
• Assisting some residents in transferring from one place to another (example: bed to wheelchair)
• Caregivers provide a clean home for the residents which include ensuring the home, bedrooms, kitchen and laundry are cleaned according to schedule.
• Caregivers will provide medication assistance to residents by reminding the resident’s to take their medications, helping the resident open their medication, and observing that the resident took their medication.
• Adhere to the Alcohol and Drug Free workplace policy
• Other duties as required

• They must take pride in their work and be a good communicator.
