Job summary

Avalon Memory Care is hiring caregivers in Missouri to assist residents with daily living activities and memory care needs. You will support care plans, help with transfers, maintain a clean environment, and assist with medications as needed.

This role emphasizes patience, empathy, and strong communication while following safety policies and ensuring quality of life for residents.

Qualifications

• Patience and understanding to care for residents with dementia.
• Criminal background check clearance required.
• Immunizations documentation required.
• Must be at least 18 years old or a high school graduate.
• Experience with seniors is preferred; CNA preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, toileting).
• Support and implement resident care plans.
• Assist with transfers (e.g., bed to wheelchair).
• Maintain a clean living environment for residents (home, bedrooms, kitchen, laundry).
• Provide medication reminders and assist residents with taking medications.
• Adhere to the Alcohol and Drug Free workplace policy; perform other duties as required.

Description

Responsibilities

• Assisting residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, eating and restroom assistance.
• Implement and support the resident care plans
• Assisting some residents in transferring from one place to another (example: bed to wheelchair)
• Caregivers provide a clean home for the residents which include ensuring the home, bedrooms, kitchen and laundry are cleaned according to schedule.
• Caregivers will provide medication assistance to residents by reminding the resident’s to take their medications, helping the resident open their medication, and observing that the resident took their medication.
• Adhere to the Alcohol and Drug Free workplace policy
• Other duties as required
