Job summary

A local caregiving organization is seeking a compassionate caregiver in DeLand, Florida to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Responsibilities include assisting with personal hygiene tasks, meal preparation, and ensuring safety in the home. The ideal candidate will have a valid driver's license, one year of caregiving experience, and a high school diploma. This role is independent contractor-based and offers $15 per hour, with a schedule from Monday to Friday, 4 PM to 7 PM.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license is required.
• Must be able to pass Local and Level 2 Background Screening.
• Proven 1 year of caregiving experience or technical training required.
• Candidates must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Encourage and support the individual during home activities.
• Assist with personal hygiene tasks.
• Meal preparation and light cleaning.
• Ensure individual's safety and maintain a safe living environment.
• Facilitate community involvement by accompanying individual to social events.
• Promote communication, choice, independence, and socialization.
• Complete daily progress notes.

Community Resource Network of Florida is looking for a caregiver who is fun, compassionate, dependable and is committed to helping individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) achieve their highest level of independence and live their best life. The individual is in need of a caregiver to support with ADL's, personal hygiene tasks. By applying for this position, you acknowledge and understand that this role is offered on an independent contractor basis, and not as an employee of the company. The role pays $15.00 hourly.

Schedule: Monday to Friday from 4pm - 7pm
